Le Tambour Appartement Lumineux au Centre de Reims

Worth the effort to be comfortably based right in the centre of Reims. Positive: Brilliant central Reims location - you can see the Hotel de Ville from some of the windows. Clean, comfortable and well-equipped. Negative: The initial entry arrangements are complicated with instructions not entirely clear and do rely on someone being on hand to open the door for you. This wasn’t the case when we arrived (on time) and the concierge also didn’t answer their phone but eventually messages us back via Booking. Took maybe 10 minutes to sort out but that’s quite stressful at the end of a long journey. Also, we were directed to a car park with a maximum two hour stay which meant we would have to move the car again before we could leave it for the evening. A bit more research and guidance on the parking arrangements would be helpful for guests.

Positive: Beautiful apartment in central location. Well equipped kitchen and easy self check in with clear instructions. Lovely spacious rooms.

I would love to stay here again, it’s perfect for what we wanted. Positive: Amazing value and location. Charming decor. Incredibly comfortable bed. Ceiling fans were very welcome. Reims is beautiful and well worth a visit. Accommodated a tricky family size well (single parent, two teenage boys and one elderly grandfather). Negative: Some wear and tear in areas of the property, but for the price this was reasonable. It is central so you can hear late night revellers, which didn’t bother us, but might if you’re sensitive to noise.

Fantastische plek om Reims te ontdekken! Positive: De locatie was echt fantastisch t.o.v. het centrum, parkeergarage op een paar minuten, elektrische fietsen via Zebollo heel handig en prettiger dan lopen of taxi's naar wat verdere plekken, bijv de champagne huizen en de lichtshow in de basiliek. Redelijk ruim appartement, zeker voor ons (vader/dochter). Online communicatie met de beheerder ging heel soepel. Negative: Het gebrek aan airco wordt best goed opgevangen door plafondventilatoren in de kamers, maar het is (vooral in het weekend) inderdaad nogal rumoerig op straat als je de ramen open wilt houden. Beetje een trade-off tussen locatie en comfort. Voor ons was het niet van toepassing maar de woonkamer is ws niet heel comfortabel om met meerdere mensen te zitten.

Positive: Very central location. Easy walking distance of Reims cathedral with a delicious bakery underneath. Negative: The bars nearby were very lively so it was a bit noisy till late. We were there in a very hot spell so found the ceiling fans were not quite enough to keep us cool. Other than that, no major quibbles.
